Ride In Style and On The Right Track With “Brightline” Select!

All Aboard!

The other day I had the chance to experience one of Florida’s newly most modern ways to travel, Brightline. The company Brightline offers South Florida residents express travel  from Miami, Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach. The train will soon be making its way to Orlando as well. When I was given the chance to undergo a Select style experience with Brightline I could not turn it down.

I arrived at the Miami Central station around 11:15am and my departure to West Palm was scheduled to leave at 12:15pm. Once I arrived I checked in with the guest relations desk, provided my confirmation number and my tickets were printed instantly. After that I headed up the escalator to relax in the Select lounge. The lounge is curated with snacks  ad beverages, which includes Pepsi, beer, wine, chips, meat and cheese and the list goes on. Around 12:00pm the announcer on the intercom called for those traveling on the 12:15pm departure to to board the train. Myself and my guests boarded first due to us being in the Coach 1 section.  Our seats were very easy to find due to the numbers being located above the windows.. Once everyone was seated and boarded the train we were off.

Next, the train attendants came around to each guest offering complimentary towels. They also offered free headphones for guests to keep, phone chargers (that must be returned once you arrive at your destination), wine, beer, alcoholic beverages, chips, cookies, candy, hummus dip, a fruit cup,  a parfait and cheese and crackers. . . The options were unlimited! I decided to go with the parfait, fruit cup, wine, apple juice and the cheese and crackers. The choices of food that I chose were extremely delicious and filling. I then finished my snacks and enjoyed the rest of the ride.
I was told that the train travels at 79mph, which is why it is considered express. During those speeds I felt a few bumps, but nothing too extreme. We first arrived at the Fort Lauderdale station to pick up and drop off guests. Once those passengers boarded we then made our way to West Palm Beach. We arrived in West Palm a little after 1:15pm and there is where me and my guests went sightseeing around West Palms downtown areas City Place shopping plaza filled with restaurants and places to shop. We then grabbed something to eat and made our way back to the West Palm Beach station to get ready for departure. Our departure time was at 6:00pm and we experienced the same accommodations as we did leaving Miami. Our train arrived in Miami at around 7:00pm and my experience was over. Overall, traveling with Brightline was phenomenal! I was treated like a VIP from start to finish and I will be definitely traveling with them once they open their station in Orlando.
